Ever since eyecare benefits were reduced, or altogether eliminated, from most medical plans we have been wanting a plan for members & their employees, in part so we could replace the benefits we too had lost.   We have looked at several plans & none would have worked overall.  

Then we found the BLUE VIEW VISION PLAN.     You do not need to be insured in a chamber medical or dental insurance plan to enroll in this eyecare/vision plan – it is a “stand-alone” plan, available to all members and their employees who work an average of at least 20 hours/week. 

On this page you will find information about the network, (one of the nation’s largest!), the plan summary and an enrollment form.  It is a comprehensive eyecare/vision plan which includes benefits for exams, nice discounts on a variety of frames at local and national optical stores, savings for both eyeglass and contact lenses, and an extensive choice of providers.  There are no deductibles to meet making these benefits very accessible and the optional savings available only at in network providers (page 2 of the summary) gives you even more discounts.   

Monthly premiums are $9.59 Individual / $18.19 Employee-spouse / $19.87 Employee-child(ren) & $30.82 for a Family.  Because these are qualified medical expenses you may use funds from your HSA, HRA or FSA account to pay the premiums and/or the co-pays.
