The Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. The festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. Tours, and hair, make-up and product demonstrations will be offered throughout the evening. At just twenty-five years of age, Cook has established herself as a respected and talented stylist, and now accomplished owner and businesswoman, in the Capital Region. Cook is the daughter of successful and highly esteemed businessman Tom Bethon, founder, owner and president of Albany Mechanical Services. Bethon has been a leader in the heating and cooling industry in the Capital Region for over twenty years.

A Capital Region native, Cook is a graduate of Shaker High School. Cook also took fashion marketing management classes from FIT online. She has worked as a stylist at Shapes and Colours in Colonie and Studio Orlo in Niskayuna.
“In high school, I was very involved in theater, and it was during that time that I realized how much hair had been a part of my life,” explained Cook. “I really enjoyed being able to change a look and make a character come to life through hair and make-up.”

Alexandria’s, an Aveda salon, is a full-service salon offering a complete menu of hair and styling services, manicures, pedicures and facials.

“I want our clients to have the full salon experience and because we are an Aveda salon we can make their visit something unique and special,” said Cook. “Aveda is an amazing product line, not only because it is environmentally friendly and all natural, but Aveda has a wonderful mission and believes in giving back to the communities and world in which we live. All of our clients will be offered a complementary Aveda ritual during their service like a hand massage; head, neck, and shoulder massage; or a finishing make-up application. They will be greeted warmly at the door, and treated to an incredible experience. I want guests leaving with amazing hair and a feeling of calm and happy.”
