Two Forums Announced for Colonie Candidates
Colonie, N.Y - The League of Women Voters of Albany County, the Colonie Chamber of Commerce, Spotlight News, and the Capital Area Council of Churches announce two upcoming forums for candidates running for local office in the Town of Colonie.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, Colonie supervisor candidates Paula Mahan and Todd Drake have been invited to participate in a forum from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 400 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions (in written form or online with registration) for the candidates to address.  There is a $20.00 registration fee for breakfast. On Wednesday, Oct. 30, an evening forum will be held at the Holiday Inn Albany, 205 Wolf Road, Albany, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Candidates for Colonie Town Board have been invited to give opening and closing statements as well as field written questions from the audience. At approximately 8:00 p.m., the Colonie supervisor candidates, Paula Mahan and Todd Drake, have been invited to take part in a debate lasting the remainder of the program. This event is free and open to the media and public.
Charles Wiff, managing editor of Spotlight News, will moderate both events.
