Ballston Spa National Bank Announces #GivingTuesday Support

BSNB to donate a total of more than $36,000 to Capital Region Organizations

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – At BSNB, we seek to develop a workforce focused on giving back and strengthening the communities where we live and work. Our team members are visible throughout the year serving as goodwill ambassadors as they participate in a number of efforts through our Volunteers in Action Program and Community Support Day

In addition to these volunteer efforts, the Company and the BSNB Charitable Foundation provide sponsorship dollars throughout the year to support local community organizations dedicated to helping those in need.  In recognition of the efforts of our staff and to foster a community giving focus, each year at this time we seek input from our team in identifying organizations they believe make a positive difference.

As a result, the Bank announced today that support of $36,000 has been awarded to local Capital Region organizations, including more than $10,000 in donations from the Bank and its customers to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

“Today’s donations are estimated to provide more than 40,000 meals to those in need. This would not have been possible without the generosity of our customers,” said Christopher R. Dowd, president and CEO. “We’re also incredibly proud of the BSNB staff members that rallied their communities to address the need.”

The remaining $26,000 in Bank donations is provided to 31 additional organizations, including but not limited to, those that provide support for addiction recovery, veterans and active duty soldiers, children and youth programs, and programs addressing poverty, hunger and homelessness.
