Pioneer Bank’s Hiring Our Heroes: Veterans Career Fair Will Take Place September 19

Community job fair and career building sessions tailored to veterans, active duty military and their families  


COLONIE, N.Y.— Pioneer Bank will for the second year running present a free career fair for veterans, active duty military and their families at its Colonie headquarters building in Pioneer Plaza.


Hiring Our Heroes: Veterans Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 19, from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. at Pioneer Bank’s headquarters at 652 Albany-Shaker Road. This event will be special tailored to current and former servicemembers, and will provide a great opportunity for those in the job market to meet local employers. Additionally, breakout sessions will be available to attendees throughout the day on topics such as resume critiques and utilizing LinkedIn. Attendees will also be able to secure professional photographs, free of cost.


“One of our organization’s core values is to give back to the communities we serve, and I can think of few better ways than to provide opportunities and resources to the heroes in those communities,” said Pioneer Bank President and CEO Tom Amell. “Our first Hiring Our Heroes event was a tremendous success, and I look forward to welcoming not only veterans and active duty servicemembers, but also their families, to Pioneer Plaza on September 19.”


Hiring Our Heroes has reached its employer cap prior to the event, and will not be able to accept additional employers. All employers are encouraged to join Pioneer Bank in making a donation to the Veterans Miracle Center of Albany.


Attendees are not required to register, and may drop in at any time from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
