An Antiques Review: Discovering Hidden Treasures

Albany – Please join Colonie Senior Service Centers (CSSC) at the Beltone Living Center, 6 Winners Circle, Albany onWednesday, March 28, from 9 – 11 am  for an Antiques Review: Discovering Hidden Treasures. Local experts Jeffrey Demis of Ferris Coin Co., James Naughter of A & A Gem Lab, and Dennis Holzman of Dennis Holzman Antiques will be on hand to appraise your treasurers. Categories of items that can be appraised include: silver and gold coins, paper money, diamonds, colored stones, jewelry, gold and silver, watches, rare books, paintings, autographs, prints, and general antiques.

There are a number of factors to consider when you want to get an antique or collectible appraised. Sometimes it is a matter of just knowing how much something is worth before you attempt to sell it. Or, in the instance of a family heirloom, finding out how much it is worth for your own information. Other times you may need a more formal appraisal for insurance or other purposes.

A fee of $5.00 will be charge for each appraisal with all proceeds benefiting CSSC’s Bright Horizons Adult Day Service. For additional information or questions, please call CSSC at (518) 459-2857 ext. 302.
